=In Game=
<div style="white-space:normal;">SCP-1344 can be found in [[Bulletproof Locker №7|Bulletproof Locker №7s]] located around the map, which require a [[Keycard]] with both {{HoverKeycard|Required Access1=CC2|Required Access2=CA}}to open. </div>

When equipped, players can press {{Key Press|Leftclick}} to activate the item. This process takes five seconds and can be canceled. After five seconds, the player's eyeballs will be stabbed and they will receive the Blindness and SCP-1344 [[Status Effects]]. SCP-1344 will become unselected and the player can use other items while it is worn. Wearing SCP-1344 gives the user immunity to the {{fancy link|Flashed}} Status Effect. 
The player will see an on-screen overlay of the goggles. SCP-1344 will also become visible on the player's third person model.

===Blindness===
SCP-1344 permanently applies the Blindness status effect when worn. The effect will apply a black overlay on the player's screen. 
It will initially grant the player 100% Blindness which will then decay exponentially. After 45 seconds have passed, it will reach 15% Blindness. It will remain there unless the player removes SCP-1344, which will set it to 100% permanently. The use of [[SCP-500]] can immediately reduce Blindness down to 15%, bypassing the decay period, but cannot remove the effect.

===Effects===
When worn, SCP-1344 will create class-colored orbs visible only to its user above the heads of all other players. Orbs are visible within 22 meters of the user and can be seen through walls. Orbs then become increasingly translucent beyond 22 meters until disappearing at 26 meters. Players of opposing teams who have their orb revealed to an SCP-1344 user will receive an audio cue. This detection audio cue has a cooldown of five seconds before replaying, and is paused until the SCP-1344 user loses line of sight of them. 

Orbs will only appear for one second at a time, appearing at three second intervals. 

===Dropping===
When not worn, SCP-1344 can be dropped as a normal item without consequence. 
If the player attempts to drop SCP-1344 when it is worn, they will undergo an animation of them trying to rip it off. A progress bar will be visible and the process can be canceled by pressing {{Key Press|Rightclick}}. Disarming a player wearing SCP-1344 will skip this process. 

Once complete, the player's Blindness will be permanently set to 100%. This cannot be affected by SCP-500. They will also receive the {{Hoverimage|Quickly drains the player's HP and removes their eyes|text=Severed Eyes}} status effect until they die. The player's eyeballs are also removed and then dropped below them. 

If the SCP-1344 user dies while wearing it, it will drop as a normal item and can be picked up again.

*SCP-1344 was originally suggested by a Patron on the official SCP: SL Discord.
*Originally SCP-1344 would apply the Bleeding Effect upon being removed. This was mentioned in the SCP-1344 announcement post.
**This was changed before release of the patreon beta. The new effect Severed Eyes was altered to handle the HP drain.
